Escarpment Luxury Lodge is situated just outside Lake Manyara National Park within a narrow corridor formed by the looming cliffs of the Great Rift Valley escarpment and the shores of the beautiful lake. Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge

Standing high on the bluff of a dramatic ochre and terracotta streaked cliff above the flamingo-frosted expanse of Lake Manyara’s gleaming alkaline waters, the Lodge commands panoramic views across the volcano-studded floor of the Great Rift Valley. Designed to reflect the brilliance of Lake Manyara’s unique birdlife, the Lodge draws on an inspirational architectural motif that melds swooping avian curves with the gentle concentric patterns of traditional Maasai ‘Bomas’ (encampments) whilst the vibrantly coloured frescoes lining the walls are designed to depict the colourful intricacy of bird migratory patterns. The ambiance of the Lodge is a fusion of lakeside tranquility, towering volcanic splendour and adventure-packed sporting activity. As to wildlife, the park offers abundant sightings of; monkey, jackal, mongoose, hyena, hyrax, zebra, hippo, warthog, buffalo, Masai giraffe, duiker, waterbuck and impala. Significant numbers of elephant are also resident in the Park whilst sightings of black rhino and leopard are not uncommon. Manyara is also especially noted for its wealth of bird life, being visited by many thousands of sugar-pink Lesser Flamingos, significant numbers of Greater Flamingos and a host of other woodland, plains and water birds.

Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge

Lake Manyara Kilimamoja Lodge is nestled on the rim of the Great African Rift Valley with stunning views of Lake Manyara, Mount Meru and on a clear day, Mount Kilimanjaro. The lodge is situated in lush green gardens and local vegetation with over 130 species of bird. It offers an ideal place in which to base a northern safari experience. The Ngorongoro Crater, Oldeani, Lake Eyasi, Lake Manyara and the Ngorongoro Highlands are just a short drive away from the lodge. Sitting around the outside fireplace watching the sun setting over the Great Rift Valley and listening to the humming of the birds in the background is a fitting way to end the day, and preparing for a sumptuous dinner feast.

Manyara Lodge offers 27 tented rooms, 2 honeymoon suites, 2 family cottages, fully en suite bathrooms, hot and cold running water, electricity, bar complete with sun-deck and panoramic views of the rift valley and dining room with waiter service. The lodge offers activities including Maasai guided ethno botanical walks, mountain biking available on request, half-day treks / hikes and fly camping in forests on special request.

andBeyond Lake Manyara Tree Lodge

Set in a mahogany forest, andBeyond Lake Manyara Tree Lodge is the only permanent lodge in the Tanzania’s Lake Manyara National Park. Ten stilted treehouse suites, crafted from local timber and makuti palm fronds, offer privacy and exclusivity in cool, leafy surroundings. Each treehouse suite features generous decks suspended above the forest floor and large windows invite the lush forest inside. While the bedrooms are fitted with contemporary furnishing and billowing mosquito nets, the bathrooms feature freestanding baths and an outdoor shower. A central interactive kitchen allows guests to observe the preparation of delicious dishes that are enjoyed in the theatrical boma or on the open dining decks, with spectacular forest views.

Lake Manyara Tortilis Camp

Nestled amidst the lush vegetation of the deep south of the mesmerising Tarangire National Park, close to the Furusi Swamp lies, Lake Manyara Tortilis Camp. While enjoying its remote location, guests can partake in various activities, including game drives, bush dinners and walking safaris. The camp is centred around four magnificent and iconic baobab trees, with a total of ten en-suite tents, each featuring Wi-Fi and all the comforts needed for an enjoyable stay.
