Lake Burunge Tented Camp

Permanent luxury tents. Located only 10 minutes from Tarangire National Park, Lake Burunge Tented Camp consists of 30 rooms with en suite facilities. Among them 6 family tents, that consist in two interconnected rooms.Nearest Airstrip: Tarangire/Manyara 1 hour and 20 minutes away.Activities: Game drives in Tarangire National Park, guided nature walks and / or visit a boma (village) to interact with the local Mbuwge people and learn about their culture.

Maramboi Tented Lodge

This is a unique opportunity to experience and explore the Tarangire and Manyara ecosystem. Maramboi Tented Camp offers permanent camp facilities and endless vistas of rolling golden grasslands and palm lined desert between Tarangire and Manyara Lake. A visit to the area is essential for anyone interested in evolution and the origins of Mankind and an explanation of the Rift Valley and Africa’s big picture. It is a complete semi desert experience focusing on safari walks and game drives. 40 spacious tents built on ample wooden decks, among them there are 12 family rooms with 2 rooms interconnected, ideal for families with children. They all have en suite facilities and private veranda with 24 hours 220V electric lighting.

Ecoscience Science Centre & Luxury Lodge

The Ecoscience property is situated on the northeastern border of the Tarangire National Park, 20 km south of the village of Makuyuni. The local village is called Mswakini Juu. The 80 hectare property borders a migration route of elephants, zebras and other animals. The area is locally called “the small Serengeti plain”. Most of the land is kept natural. At the northern edge is the luxurious boutique lodge and the science center. Ecoscience is set in a fragile Savannah environment, where the issue of fire is a real concern. The luxury boutique lodge is designed by Spanish architect Maria Rodriguez-Carreño Villangomez. The architecture of the rooms and restaurant is based on the Maasai hut tradition, in an original, modern and minimalist version. There are only 6 large rooms of 60 square meters, each with a 30 square meter terrace. The rooms feature a double bed, couch, wardrobe, office desk and en suite bathroom. From every bed there is a spectacular view of Radilen hill, at the opposite side of the valley. The Ecoscience Science Centre is a satellite in Maasai land for scientists, students and for universities in general, national and international. Small groups of scientists and students stay at Ecoscience for investigations or conferences. The science center, independent of the luxury lodge, consists of 10 large tents. The two largest ones are a restaurant and conference rooms, with a library. Each tent of 65 square meters features an en suite bathroom and desk with internet connection.

Mbali Mbali Tarangire River Camp

Mbali Mbali Tarangire River Camp is set within 25,000 hectares of concession area, included on the land is a branch of the Tarangire River itself, which the camp overlooks. The property is in a great location for game viewing since it is only 3.5km from the main entrance to Tarangire National Park. Traditional grass thatching adorns the roof of the main lodge structure, which is set off the ground on an elevated deck. The breezy lounge boasts ample seating in a relaxing open-air environment. The dining area, where culturally inspiring meals are served, consists of simple safari style seating and the elevated position allows for excellent views over the riverbank below. Both the dining and lounge areas are married into a proper bon-fire area and game viewing deck that also overlook the same stunning views. The lodge’s small, informal gift shop offers the families of the nearby Maasai villages a chance to sell some of their handmade wares.

Tarangire Safari Lodge

Tarangire Safari Lodge is located within the national park boundary of Tarangire National Park, approximately 10 km away from the main entrance. Perched at the edge of a natural bluff, the lodge is renowned for it’s panoramic views of the Savannah and Tarangire River below, providing breathtaking scenery and game viewing. The lodge’s safari tents, with thatched roofs and large, mesh screened windows, provide the ideal opportunity to connect with the sights and sounds of nature. Each tent has a comfortable veranda, ideal for bird and game viewing, or reading a favorite book after a dusty safari. With a choice of twin, double, or triple accommodation, all tents are equipped with en suite bathrooms with solar heated showers, ample cupboard space and a cultural touch of local textiles. The five circular bungalows, built in a similar style to the Maasai boma, offer a more spacious option for family and triple accommodation. The airy rooms are situated near a large watering hole, creating the opportunity to watch wildlife from the shaded veranda. The bungalows are set away from the main lodge, providing privacy, and all are equipped with large en suite bathrooms with solar heated showers, and comfortable bedding made from local textiles.

Elewana Tarangire Treetops

On the path of an annual elephant migration, Elewana Tarangire Treetops sits alone in a 312km2 community wildlife area bordering Tarangire National Park, amid a landscape of rolling and baobab-studded hills. Lemala Mpingo Ridge

Each of the 15 spacious tented suites have been carefully positioned to maximize the sensational views over Tarangire &. take advantage of the cooling breezes during hot weather. They feature en-suite bathrooms, private decks, sunken outside lounges that convert to afternoon siesta beds and one of the suites has two bedrooms. A special feature is the private outside bathtub—perfect for soothing the soul and washing away the African dust after a day on safari.
