Overview

Located between the meadows of Masai Steppe to the southeast and the lakes of the Great Rift Valley to the north and west, Tarangire National Park occupies an area of 2,600 square kilometres and is a stunning park in Northern Tanzania. It is most popular for its elephant migration, birding and genuine safari environment. This Tanzania safari park is famous as a little pearl on the Northern safari circuit, particularly if you cherish elephants! Tarangire holds the unexpected wonderful wildlife bundle on the Northern circuit. Regularly dominated by the Serengeti and the Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire has a huge gathering of animals in the peak months. From July through to October safaris here are magnificent, and the environment and living spaces are not quite the same as different parks. Tarangire is shockingly huge, giving guests the calmest game viewing experience. As compared to its neighbor, Tarangire is a heavenly little park that offers extraordinary appeal.

Generally, the wildlife assembles around the Tarangire River is almost as varied as in the Ngorongoro Crater. However, the ecosystem here is balanced by a migration pattern that is followed by the majority of a game that resides in and around the park. Elephants are the main attraction, with up to 3,000 in the park during the peak months. The other animals you are going to see are a good numbers of wildebeest and zebra as well as giraffe, buffalo, Thompson's gazelle, greater and lesser kudu, eland, leopard and cheetah. Except these, Tarangire is also one of Tanzania's finest birding destinations, which includes the Yellow-collared lovebirds, the Kori bustard the stocking-thighed ostrich, and hornbills.
