8 Day Safari
DEPARTURE / RETURN LOCATION
Please arrive at least 2 hours before the flight.
Day 1 : Arrival in Arusha
On arrival, you will be met at Kilimanjaro Airport (JRO) by your Wapo Africa driver/guide and our representative. He will take you to Arusha Town for the overnight. Your safari will start on the next day. Accommodation on Bed and breakfast basis and overnight at The Arusha Hotel.
Day 2 & 3 : Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, depart for Tarangire, Tanzania's third largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah and up to six thousand elephant. Enjoy game drive with picnic lunches. Dinner and overnight at Tarangire Tree Top or Lemala Mpingo Ridge. Full board basis.
Day 4 : Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park for game viewing drive with picnic lunches. The park’s varied habitat attracts a wide variety of African animals, including one of Africa’s largest concentrations of elephants, Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions, as well as large flocks of flamingos, attracted by the algae in the lake.Later in the afternoon, drive to your lodge. Dinner and overnight at Escarpment Luxury Lodge. Full board basis
Day 5 : Drive to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, drive to Serengeti National Park. This enormous park supports every variety of animals imaginable; from large predators such as lion, leopard and cheetah to the smaller herbivores they prey on. Afternoon game viewing drive with picnic lunches.Dinner and overnight at Lemala Nanyukie Luxury Lodge.Full board basis.
Day 6 : Full day game drives at Serengeti National Park
Breakfast at the camp followed by game drives in the park. You may return to your lodge for a sumptuous lunch to gather strength for the afternoon game drive or you leave with picnic lunch for a full day of game drives. Dinner and overnight at Lemala Nanyukie Luxury Lodge.Full board basis.
Day 7 : Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast you will drive to Ngorongoro and descend into the crater for a wonderful game drive (with picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater - often described as one of the wonders of the world. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds and other species. With a bit of luck the ‘Big Five’ can be spotted during one game drive only. Later in the afternoon, drive to the lodge before dusk.Dinner and overnight at Neptune Ngorongoro Luxury Lodge.Full board basis.
Day 8 : Departure
Breakfast at the hotel. Check out time is 1000hrs. Depending on your flight schedule, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home. End of Wapo Africa Safaris
